Although based in
Castlebar, Mayo County Council services the entire county through a series of Area Offices located in nine towns across the county.
The County Council is responsible for providing a number of services to the county, including protecting the environment, fire protection, agricultural services, planning, road maintenance, enhancing the cultural and artistic life of the community, tax collection and licensing and maintaining refuse infrastructure.

WESTBIC is the official EC Business & Innovation Centre in the Border, Midland & Western region of Ireland providing tailored support to innovative enterprise through the initial stages, from concept to commercialisation. Established in 1987, WESTBIC is a specialist provider in the Government’s portfolio of supports to indigenous industry, supported under the National Development Plan.
WESTBIC has considerable cross-sector experience at the start-up and early stage development of value added enterprise.
The Institute of Life Science (ILS) at Swansea University is a collaboration between Swansea University and the Welsh Government, together with Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University (ABMU) Health Board, IBM and industry and business partners. It is the single largest investment ever made by the Welsh Government on any university campus.
ILS advances science through multi- and interdisciplinary research and innovation for the benefit of human health, and to link those benefits to the economy by encouraging interaction with other organisations in a spirit of Open Innovation.
Linked with community and private organisations, it is extending its expertise in innovation and cluster development to the creative industries. It can take advantage of the word's largest film studios, which are located within the city.
Technopole Quimper-Cornouaille (RETIS and EBN member) aims at strengthening economical development through technology and innovation in the western part of Brittany. It supports creation of new businesses, technology transfers, individual and collaborative innovative projects, and organizes networking events between economical actors.

With more than 15 tailor-made programs and tools, LMT supports innovative entrepreneurship: startups acceleration program Idenergie, boutique dedicated to startups (www.neoshoplaval.fr), international scientific symposium on food factory for the future Food Factory, territorial innovation Day Inovdia, Incubator UP (30 startups), business premises, innovative mornings, international strategy training, Softlanding program, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs etc.
Moreover in the heart of local, national and international networks, LMT facilitates the cooperation between scientific and technological skills, support companies in collaborative projects and partnership. LMT also actively manages the Laval Virtual cluster, whose main event is the International Conference on virtual technologies and uses, Laval Virtual.
CEEI Bahía de Cádiz is an EC-Business and Innovation Centre located in the province of Cadiz (Andalucia), established in 1998 as a non profit making foundation with the support of different public and private local organizations and the aim of supporting and promoting the creation and growth of “Innovation and Technology based SMES” and “Employment” in the area of the Bay of Cadiz, providing advice incubation facilities, training and education and project development (at regional, national and EU level).
